Don't Call the Cops the Cops Called Us

Created exclusively for HM Electric, Don't Call the Cops, the Cops Called Us is part of a trio of new artworks released in 2022. Continuing David's use of the animal kingdom as an organic counterfoil to the rigid reorganisation of found and invented visual messaging that characterises his work.

DSC acts as an aerial, receiving content and filtering out imagery from our collective subconscious. He distills the most intriguing, incongruous and dichotomous narratives, which he then assembles in a trance like state that he likens to automatic writing. There is is no logical reason for these compositions and colours to work together, yet they do.
