Lou Melchior

Louise (Lou) Melchior (b.1973) is a Danish artist and photographer based in London, UK and is represented by HM Electric.

  • The notion of recognisable nothingness is a continuous exploration in Lou Melchior’s photographs. The artist compares her photographic capture to listening for a whisper in a world saturated by noise.

    Born in Copenhagen, Lou (Louise) Melchior has lived in London for 32 years.

    She received a BA in sculpture from Chelsea College of Art and later a MA in photography from Goldsmiths.
